Today we were again looking on the short side after the early action before the news hit as the market traded in a narrow range but with some decent volatility. We looked to take a powerfade on the short side just after the news @ 10:00 AM EST and we made it count as we [...]

In the early action we were looking for a breakout on the upside with all the markets poised to break through psychological levels (ES 1300, YM 12000, TF 800) but unfortunately things flipped around and we had a strong downturn. Following Wednesday’s sell off we knew the volatility would definitely be back in the market. We were looking for opportunities more on the long side since the selling pressure was so good yesterday. We ended the day up 0.5 points but as you can see the yellow powerpoint trade could have been taken for as [...]

Today we had one of those days where the market trended the entire day in one direction. These days do not come around too often which makes it a very tricky to trade. Pretty much everything on the short side worked today but we waited to look for a more safe spot to look for [...]

The market shot up breaking through the highs for 2010 (set in April) as we came to the cash market open. In the Cash Market, we saw the markets hold the pre-market gains before pushing higher.
